Stage 2 of the Examination Phase of the Local Plan for Epsom & Ewell has several representatives that are lobbying for sites to be added to the Local Plan for Epsom & Ewell. Three representatives have prepared submissions to justify their case. It remains to be seen how these will be judged by the Inspector.

The details below are for a large development in KT22, Ashtead on Green Belt land. This is to the south of Ashtead, towards Leatherhead. Several similar developments are proposed or being prepared in Surrey. Lack of access and no supporting infrastructure are a common theme.

2,000 new homes and a new public park are proposed for green belt land, off Clayton Road, Chessington. This would be a major development which, if approved, would bring in at least another 5,000 residents to Chessington.
